Blended Course

This blended option includes online learning modules (6.5-hours) and a one day in-class practical component (7-hours).

First step is to purchase the interactive online First Aid Awareness modules course from the St-John Ambulance website for $25.00 at:

https://sja.ca/en/first-aid-training/online/awareness-training-standard-first-aid-csa-intermediate-cpr-c-aed-english  (Make sure you use this link!). This online course is a mandatory pre-requisite for the blended course offering. Students who do not complete the pre-requisite will not be allowed to attend class and no refunds will be given. (Please see booking policy below)

When finished the online portion, you will receive a completion email from St. John Ambulance. Forward a copy of this email to admin@valion.ca prior to attending your one-day in-class session. Please include the words “Blended First Aid” and your name in the subject line.

Attend class:

Attend the one day in-class course. Athabasca public courses are held at our Training Center, 4012 53 St. and start at 8:30 a.m. Students must perform all practical skills and achieve the minimum passing grade requirement (75%) on the written theory exam. The exam includes all sections covered online and in-class.

BOOKING POLICY

Policy on Class Registrations, Cancellations, Withdrawals, Transfers and Refunds

Class Registrations

The registration process requires payment upon registration in order to confirm your enrollment. Registration cannot be completed and your class seat cannot be held until payment is received.  Companies interested in setting up an account with Valion Inc (Aggressive Training Services) can contact our office to do so.

Class Cancellations

Valion Inc (Aggressive Training Services) reserves the right to cancel classes that do not reach minimum enrolment requirements or for extenuating circumstances. Every effort will be made to notify all registrants in a timely manner prior to the class start date.  Fees for cancelled classes will be refunded in full or applied to another course upon request.

Student Withdrawals

Students may formally withdraw from a class by contacting our office at least two business days prior to the class start date by telephone.  Students and companies are held responsible for courses in which they are registered until they formally withdraw from the course(s) within the refund deadline dates.  Non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal.

Student Transfers

Students may transfer to another class at any time up to at least two business days prior to the class start date of the class they are registered in for a $50 administration fee.

Refunds

Students are eligible for a 100 per cent refund less an administrative charge of $50.00 if they formally withdraw at least two business days prior to the class start date. The withdrawal refund may be applied to another course upon request.

Failure to formally withdraw from a course within the published deadlines above will result in no refund provided.

Students who attend but are unsuccessful in courses are not eligible for refunds.
